Dana K. Zunk
Indianapolis - Dana Kristine Zunk was born on March 15, 1962 to Henry J and Rosemary Zunk, the fifth and final child in a loving family. She attended Holy Trinity grade school and graduated from Speedway High School after overcoming the many challenges of Down Syndrome. She and her mother worked very hard to achieve a happy and productive life for Dana.
Special means something different to everyone. Dana was special in many ways. She loved music and learned to play the organ. She was very proud to receive her 25 year pin from Goodwill Industries, where she was honored as Employee of the Year. She loved line dancing, Notre Dame football and the Cubbies, and just being with family and friends. She taught all of us that life is a beautiful gift. Dana will be missed by many and will surely have a special place in heaven.
Dana was preceeded in death by her parents and sister, Darlene Floreancig. She is survived by sister Rosemary(David) Aldrich, brothers Henry J (Teri) and Mark(Sara) Zunk. Nieces and nephews, Jennifer Bertram, Andrew(Erin) Zunk, Hannah(Detrix) Schafer, and Patrick H Zunk.
Private family burial service will be handled by Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North at Calvary Cemetery.
Very special loving thanks to the staff at New Hope of Indiana who cared for Dana and provided all the love and support we could hope for. A very special acknowledgement to Susan Robinson who became a second mom to Dana.
