Eugene Robert Morris
78, of Greenfield passed away on Thursday March 14, 2013 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. He was born on January 27, 1935 in Lonoke, AR, the son of the late Arlo and Helen (Hill) Morris.
Eugene was a native of Arkansas and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a B.S. and a M.A. in Dairy Science. He retired in 1988 from the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service, working 30 years with 4-H and Agriculture. Later Eugene worked with Beattey Realty Company as a Realtor until 2004. He was a long time member and past president of Greenfield Rotary Club. But his passion in life was serving the Lord, by leading singing, teaching Sunday school and supporting many missionaries in the mission field while attending Greenfield Church of Christ.
Eugene is survived by daughters, Lisa Thaxton of King George, VA, Sarona Zonarich of Memphis, TN and Kimberli Morris of State College, PA, son Phillip Morris of Charlotte, NC, 6 grandchildren, Joshua (Becky), Jereme (Cynthia) and Jason (Beth) Thaxton, Milliana, Maya and Laura Zonarich, 3 great-grandchildren, Clark, Seraphina and Trinity Thaxton, brother, Raymond S. Morris of Baton Rouge, LA.
Preceded in death by his wife M. Jean Mosher Steiner Morris and parents.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 24, 2013 at the Greenfield Church of Christ 1380 South State Street Greenfield, IN 46140. With burial to follow at Washington Park North in Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday March 23, 2013 at the Stillinger Family Funeral Home 1780 West Main Street Greenfield, IN 46140

Poppy...u and Momma Jean saved my life and encouraged a light to burn for Christ! I wish u both had been able to see me get sober and live in Christs light! I miss u Poppy!!
