Francis "Frank" McCurdy Obituary
Francis "Frank" McCurdy

66, of Fishers, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ellen McCurdy, and their children, Erica Cherba (Neal) and Kelly McCurdy (fiance Worthe Holt). He is also survived by his four grandchildren Luna McCurdy, Michael, Avery and Andrew Cherba, and his siblings Kathy June, Paul McCurdy (Sharon), Maribeth Wright (Steve), and John McCurdy (Donna). He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Tracy McCurdy; sister, JoEllen Jones; and his parents Francis and Becky McCurdy.

Frank started his company, McCurdy Mechanical, in 1978 and it continues to thrive to this day. His determination and work ethic were an example to those around him.

Born with the gift of gab, he never met a stranger. Talking to him for even 5 minutes, you knew the kind of person he was. An avid Purdue and Colts fan, he rarely missed an opportunity for a tailgate. A passionate fisherman who traveled out of the country just to get the best catch. He always put family first, providing them with great memories and amazing adventures including their time spent in Marco Island, Dale Hollow, Canada and the Bahamas. He was a long-time parishioner of Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church.

Frank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who is loved by many and will be greatly missed. The world was a better place with him in it.
