Harold Wayne Sublett Obituary
Harry Wayne Sublett, 82, Springfield, IL, formerly of Indianapolis, died Friday, July 4, 2003. Harry was born November 1, 1920 in Woodbury, KY to Elwood and Bette Wilson Sublett. He married Mary Purkerson on December 23, 1943, she preceded him in death on September 8, 1994. He worked from March 9, 1964 to October 31, 1985, retiring after 21 years as a machinist with Chrysler Corporation. He also worked for Beveridge Paper Company for 20 years. He was a member of Masonic AF-AM Lodge #669 in Indianapolis, US Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of University Heights Baptist Church, Indianapolis. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Prairie Heart Institute -or- the Indianapolis Senior Center, 708 E. Michigan, Indpls., IN 46202. Services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 11 at Staab Funeral Home, Springfield, IL, with calling from 5 p.m. Rev. Floyd Pierce officiating. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12 at Floral Park Cemetery, Indpls., where military rites will be conducted by the Hendricks County Honor Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 sisters, Grace Cook and Bernice Sublett; 4 brothers, Gilbert, Raymond, Ben and Bernard Sublett. Survivors: his two daughters, Marcia (Jeffrey) Thompson of Springfield, IL and Sally (Reinhart) Peterson of Tomahawk, WI.
