It was hard to decide what option I should choose for relationship for this post...I was only a worker at mama carolla’s for a short time and I suppose I was an acquaintance. But the thing that separated Howard and why he defined the difference between a great person and a good person is that he always made you feel like you were special. When I read these posts, it became clear to me that Howard had a wonderful gift to make everyone who ran across him feel like you were something else, not just me. Howard took every bit of the gifts and the beauty and the golden heart God gave him and respected the hell out of them. I will never forget you Howard and I will always strive to be a better human being to honor you and the life you lead by example. And I’ll thank God often that he let me cross paths with you. Thank you for your smile, you heart, and always making me feel special.

Carole, t was such a joy to take care of Howard and to get to know the two of you. He was such a sweet, kind man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Carole and family
Howard was always the greatest of family. From the days he was the leader of cousin fun, through his stay with our family during college, and on with the rest of his life, he was a singular joy in sharing his time and conversation. I will miss the chance to engage him again.
