Karl Jacob Maierhofer

Carmel - Karl Jacob Maierhofer, 81, of Carmel, passed away January 2, 2021. Karl was born September 10, 1939, in Evanston, Illinois to parents, Jacob William and Elsie Biesman Maierhofer.

Karl is survived by his wife, Amy, her grandson Evan Gray; his son, David; daughter, Laurie Sparling, and 5 grandchildren. His daughter Kristen preceded him in death in 2009.

A graduate of Bradley University, Karl worked at Mayflower Transit Company before starting his own business as a custom cabinetmaker. Karl was an active member of Carmel United Methodist Church.

Karl was a skilled, kind, quiet, loving soul who loved his Lord. He is at peace at last.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Carmel United Methodist Church Building Endowment Fund are appreciated.
