Marjorie P. Heede

Was born on July 30, 1918, in Indianapolis, the only child of Herbert and Bertha (Sattler) Pierle. She received her early education in the Indianapolis Public Schools and then graduated from the former St. Mary's Academy in 1935 at the age of 16. On February 14, 1942 at St. Philip Neri Parish in Indianapolis, she married Robert A. Heede, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1992.

Marjorie was employed at RCA during WW II. She retired from Dan Young Chevrolet in 1985 after 23 years of employment. Marjorie was an avid bridge player and played with the St. Pius, St. Lawrence and Holy Spirit bridge groups. She was a longtime member of the Guardian Angel Guild and Daughters of Isabella. She was a past Regent of the D. of I. Marjorie was a member of St. Pius X Parish for over 40 years. She also participated in her high school reunions which were held for 60 years, ending in 1995. Marjorie loved to travel and always remarked "her hat was on" and she was ready to go.

She is survived by her children, Robert C. (Mary) Heede of Pocasset, MA, Linda (Gregory) Cress of South Bend, IN and James (Deborah) Heede of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Kelly Heede of Pocasset, MA, Jeffrey, Patrick and Laurie Cress of South Bend, IN and Jaime Heede of Carmel, IN and a great-granddaughter, Rhylie Cress of South Bend, IN. Her kind and gentle spirit along with her laugh will be sorely missed by all.

Visitation for Marjorie will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 4th in St. Pius X Catholic Church, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
