Richard Hebert Obituary

Richard Octave Hebert

Richard Octave Hebert's long, rich life came to an end on Christmas Day at 84. He was raised in a musical household with his brother, Floyd Hebert, Aurora, CO, and his sister, Elizabeth Wildhack, Sarasota, FL.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Anne Laughlin Hebert; daughters Elizabeth Roberts (William) and Jennifer Keller (Brent), Fishers; and son John Hebert (Nicole), Carmel.

Richard's seven grandchildren are: John Roberts (Melissa, Aidan), Michael Roberts (Katie), Valerie Mascari (John), Joe Keller, Ella, Theo, and Jack Hebert.

His parents were Henry Octave Hebert and Josephine O'Neill Hebert of Indianapolis.

A graduate of Shortridge High School, Richard attended Hanover College and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked in wholesale food sales for many years.

A life-long sports fan, Richard avidly followed the Colts, Carmel High School football, and professional baseball. His love of baseball began when he was a bat boy for the Indians and he attended many games with his son over the years.

No services are planned at this time. Donations are suggested for Disabled American Veterans or Wheeler Mission.

Richard was a gentleman and a devoted family man with a love of God and a great sense of humor. We are all grateful to have known his love.

I am so thankful he had a chance to say goodbye to his family and that he was a believer. May he Rest In Peace with the Heavenly Father.
