I had the honor of serving with Steve in the Naval Reserve. He was a fine example of a Naval Officer, a man committed to patriotism and a proud of his family. Above all he was a friend, we recently did not meet often but those times we did meet, they were good memories. May he be in eternity with our Lord and our God. A shipmate - Capt Chuck Jindrich US Navy retired.

I was privileged to know Steve while we were little league dads in the late 80s. My son Alex and I played with Steve and son Tim, enjoying Steve's sense of humor and his organizational skills. A kind and generous man. We also had contact during his efforts on behalf of the USS Indianapolis memorial.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Steve's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. May that bring you comfort at this difficult time.
