William "Bill" Russell Funke

age 65, of Fishers, IN passed away after a long illness on May 25, 2014.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Funke; preceded in death by a son, Brian Funke; and survived by daughter, Julie O'Toole; and son, Tony Jeffries; eight grandchildren Ian, Patrick, Christopher, Emily, Sarah, Zachery, Ethan, and Ella; four siblings, Beverly Hurt, Steve Funke, Terry Fishburn, and Nick Funke.

Bill, a Tech H.S. graduate and Purdue engineer, traveled the world in his 36 year career with Industrial Dielectrics (IDI) in Noblesville, IN and enjoyed the loving relationships of his family and many friends made along the way. He will be greatly missed by so many.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 29 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan - Washington Park East , 10722 E Washington St., Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30 at Flanner and Buchanan with interment following at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Turkey Run State Park in loving memory of his son Brian Dean Funke.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's death. He and I were great friends in High School and thru Purdue. We used to bet $100 on who would get straight A's each semester. Neither of us ever paid. Bill will be remembered fondly.
