He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Marian Bernice Lutz, son John R. (Mary Ann) Lutz, daughter, Susan K. Young, son James J. (Cindy) Lutz and daughter Sherry (Mark) Anderson, 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Russell Lutz and Paul Hartzler.

Johnny was in the US Navy during WWII. He attended submarine school and served in Okinawa. He belonged to the VFW, American Legion, Knights of Columbus. He was an usher at St. Columbkille Catholic church and proud member of Sam's Club and Costco.

Johnny married his high school sweetheart, Marian Bernice Harbison on November 15, 1938. He founded Lutz Realty in Indianapolis. Johnny retired at the age of 70 and moved to Ft. Myers. He started what they thought was a short term position for his son-in-law, Mark Anderson at Benchmark General Contractors at the age of 70. Johnny & Marian have been inseparable during their 75 years. They loved square dancing, traveling, 3 card poker and other games of chance. Johnny had a witty sense of humor and was loved by all who met him.
