David "Dave" Yingling

51, of Stillwater, MN, died suddenly at home on November 29, 2011 in Stillwater, Minnesota. Dave was born in Key West, Florida on November 10, 1960.

He graduated with a major in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in 1983 and a M.B.A. from Purdue's Krannert School of Management in 1985. Dave was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He moved to Stillwater, Minnesota in 1989 where he was employed by Eli Lilly, Guidant, and subsequently Boston Scientific for 27 years and was currently working as a Research and Development Manager II. It was at Guidant where he met his wife, best friend and soul mate Karen Buch. They were married in 2000.

Dave's passions in life were family, sports, traveling and tending to his yard. Whether it was playing golf, watching the Masters, any football game or viewing an auto race in person he loved to spend these occasions with family and friends celebrating and enjoying life. In fact, he attended the Indy 500 close to forty times. Most recently Dave volunteered to be the coach of his daughter Jenna's youth basketball team.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Karen, his daughter Jenna, stepson Connor, mother Mary Louise, brothers Bob and Jeff, and sister Cathy, family and many close friends. At his wish, David was an organ donor. David was preceded in death by his father Dr. Robert Yingling.

Funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 115 North 4th Street, Stillwater, MN. Monday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation 2 hours prior to service at the Church.
