James Anthony "Tony" Cook

56, born November 30, 1956 in Indianapolis to Oren Lester and Mary Etta Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wallace Dale Cook and a sister, Barbara Jean Cook Sanders. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Mona; sister, Janice Faye Cook; daughters, Crystal Marie, Lisa Coffman, Karla Aikman and Marla Simpson; as well as 8 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was a very loving father and grandfather. Growing up on the Near Eastside, Tony attended Tech High School and Howe High School and was currently working on a Business Degree. He served in the military until 1989. He loved to give and supported his church, Covenant House and helped people go to Israel, just to name a few of his favorite avenues of giving. He also enjoyed traveling, walking and earlier in his life was an avid runner. Friends may call from Noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Flanner and Buchanan - Washington Park East , 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
