Weymouth "Fogey" Fogelberg

Of Casa Grande AZ passed away on September 6, 2013. He spent his childhood in Chicago and Spencer IN. In 1943 he received his B.A. from Indiana University and married Betty West. He fought in WW II from 1943-1946 as a medic in the Pacific Theatre. He was an insurance executive (IN), small business owner (IL) and manager for a real estate developer (AZ). He was most proud of the years he spent on the Carmel IN School Board. In 2005 he and his wife Jacqui along with their Sheltie Makenzi started the " P.A.W.S. "with Dogs program at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. As an active citizen he was appointed to AZ Governor Napolitano's Council on Health, Physical Fitness and Sports. He was the AZ Sate Champion in Cycling for the Senior Olympics in 2004. His passion for life drove him to speak out for equality, fairness, and the unheard voices. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clement and Newell; and daughter Jenni Fogelberg. He is survived by his wife Jacqui Fogelberg; his first wife Betty West Fogelberg; one son and two daughters, Harold Fogelberg, Ann Spencer, and Mary Ferguson; two step-children, Scott and Jennifer Chaplin; one brother, Dr. Earl Fogelberg, ten grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held in late October in Casa Grande. Weymouth Fogelberg donated his body for medical research to Science Care.
