Cheryl Laser Obituary
71, went home to be with our Lord on May 10th with strength and courage after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 28th, 1943 to Richard and Mildred Forsythe. Cheryl graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She enjoyed a successful career from which she retired after 35 years.
Cheryl was an active member of Chapel Rock Christian Church with a deep abiding faith. She served as past president of Preceptor Alpha Omicron of Beta Sigma Phi. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends; nothing made her happier than the many years spent walking the sunny beaches of Florida.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her Mother, Mildred V. Forsythe. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dan D. Laser of Avon; her beloved 3 children, Brian D. Laser of Zionsville, Brandon C. Laser (Julie) of Plainfield, and Amy E. Laser-Farrow of Zionsville; her beloved granddaughters, Alexa L. Laser, Libbi T. Laser-Farrow, Eva R. Laser, Alyssa B. Laser, Sophia I. Laser, and Annabelle G. Laser-Farrow. She is survived by her Father, Richard J. Forsythe of Speedway and her brother, Mark R. Forsythe of Avon.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ruemu Birhiray and the St. Vincent Cancer Center along with St. Vincent Hospice for their compassionate care as well as the outpouring of support from family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cheryl K. Laser Cancer Fund at GoFund.com for friends fighting cancer.
Visitation will be held at Conkle Funeral Home, 76 North State Road 267, Avon, 46123, on Friday, May 15th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Services will follow at Chapel Rock Christian Church, 2020 North Girls School Road, Indianapolis, IN 46214 on Saturday, May 16th at 11:00 a.m. with visitation prior at 10:00 a.m. Final resting place is at West Ridge Park Cemetery, 9295 West 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46236.

Dan, when Cheryl passed from this life, we sympathized with you and knew you would miss a great companion and a wonderful wife. Now that my wife has joined her and so many others, I can empathize with you. Now I know about grief and loneliness. I don't know whether I could make it through another day if it were not for the promise of God that one day I will see the face of Jesus and of the many others who are awaiting our arrival. Like many others, we miss Cheryl's sweet smile; genuine, not forced. She was a very sweet lady, and we feel blessed to know that we will see her again on the other side of this life.

Just saw the notice about Cheryl's passing and I am shocked and very saddened. Although I have not seen Cherly for several years I have many, many fond memories of growing up together on the West side of Indianapolis. Living next door to one another, our parents - Mid and Dick and Patty and Lloyd - were very close friends and I cherish the days of growing up in the 50's with Cheryl and Mark and the rest of the neighborhood gang. Attending IPS School #90, neighborhood garage parties, outdoor games in the yard till dark, going to the State Fair and other fun times are my favorite childhood rememberances! I am sorry I cannot attend visitation or the services as we have a prior commitment with our granddaughter! My deepest condolences to Cheryl's entire family!

My parents and I met Cheryl and Dan at StV Cancer Center during my dad's treatments. I enjoyed conversations with them that passed the long hours of infusion. I pray that Cheryl may rest in peace and Dan, your family and friends find comfort.
