Marion Arthur Huffman

83, a Bainbridge area resident for over 50 years, died Jan. 11, 2016. Marion was born in Bainbridge Sept. 12, 1932 to John Morris and Helen Naomi (Eggers) Huffman. He was a 1951 graduate of Avon High School. He married Mary Jean Call in 1956, she survives. Marion was a carpenter and a farmer. He was a 50 year member of both the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and the Greencastle Masonic Lodge, as well as being a member of the Scottish Rite. Marion served in the U.S. Navy Reserve during the Korean War.

Surviving with his wife of almost 60 years, are his children, Alan (Christina) Huffman - Greencastle, Melinda Huffman - Linden, IN, John Wayne (Donna) Huffman - Bainbridge, Steve Huffman - Clarence, MO, Penny Handlon - Mooresville; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul M. (Stella) Huffman - Brownsburg; and a sister, Carol (Jon) Fuler - Carlyle, PA. Marion was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine and Marilyn.

Services: 10 a.m., Sat., Jan. 16, 2016 at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, with visitation from 4-8 p.m., Fri. Jan. 15, 2016. Burial: Bainbridge Cemetery. Online guestbook at

My Precious Penny, Words cannot convey my heartfelt grief in recent events in your life losing your Dad. Be consoled in knowing that he knew how much you loved and cared for him throughout his lifetime.
