Peacefully passed away May 25, 2016 in her home in Tucson, AZ, after a hard fought, three year battle with lung cancer.  

Eleanor was born, raised and graduated from high school in Botkins, OH. She played in the high school band in Botkins. After high school, Eleanor studied and graduated from Miami Jacobs Business School in Dayton, Ohio.

She went on to work for large law firm in Kansas City and then moved to Indianapolis to work for the Executive Director at the National Headquarters of the American Legion. After being a very loving stay-at-home mother she returned to work for F.C. Tucker in the relocation division for 12 years. Eleanor later retired and moved with her husband to Tucson, AZ.

Eleanor is survived by her husband Jack B. Pence of 47 years, Tucson, AZ daughter Christine M. Colacchio, son in law, Jacob Colacchio, grandson Benjamin M. Colacchio, in Portland, OR, sister Nancy M. Horvat Tucson, AZ, sister-in-law Gail L. Pence St. Louis Missouri, nephew Jason Horvat and wife Becky and children Ella and Logan, Portland Oregon.

Celebration of Eleanor's life, June 28, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple, 1305 Broad Ripple Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana. There will be at service at 6:30 p.m.
