Thomas Toussant Obituary
65, of Pittsboro, passed away on June 24, 2016 from complications following heart surgery.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and devoted friend. Born January 6, 1951 in Canton, OH to late John E. and Elizabeth M. (Kratt) Toussant. He attended Carrollton (OH) High and graduated from Lehman H.S. (Canton) and Ohio State University. He worked as a plant engineer until he began his own business in remodeling and home repair.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vickie; children and spouses Jennifer (Ralph) Havens, Eric ( Dana) Toussant, and Becky (Mike) Rubin; siblings John ( Libby) and Mary Jo Toussant; 5 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mon., June 27,2016 at the Pittsboro United Methodist Church with funeral services there at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pittsboro United Methodist Church, Gideon Bibles or American Heart Association. A celebration of life service will be held at a later time in Carrollton, OH. Online guestbook at www.matthewsmortuary.com

Mary Jo and John, I am so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. You may not remember me but from the time I was able to remember we spen TR our weekends walking up and down that long road from your house to our cabin at Leesville Lake and back. I have so many wonderful memories of Leesville and growing up with your family. Tom used to tease me all the time about living in Massillon. I remember one particular time he helped my brother Terry get our dog Smokey unstuck from the mud behind the McKinneys place. I live close to Indianapolis now and I wish I had known that Tom was living so close. I remember all of you fondly and my prayers and thoughts are with everyone at this time.
