Well Dad, it has been 3 years and I miss you no less than the day you left us. Thank you for watching over us and we all feel your love every day. I could feel you laughing with us yesterday talking about so many of the fun and crazy times. Thank you for the messages and all the signs you send, and for the gentle guidance that could only be from you. Love never dies. Lauren

It was only recently that I was remembering to my family the wonderful Dr. Schwartz. Now, I have just learned of his passing a few months ago. My sister, who had severe allergies, required a weekly allergy shot, so growing up we spent many hours in his office. He was the quintessential physician: quirky, disorganized, talkative and funny. I still remember some of the yarns he would spin while entertaining us in his office. Those were the days when physicians were at their ease, and Dr Schwartz took full advantage of his time, regaling us with fascinating stories of his life and adventures. He was personable and down to earth. A true icon, he is well remembered and will be missed. Condolences to his family, who has lost a giant.

Dr. Arnold Schwartz, an exemplary man, who touched many lives with his generosity & genuine kindness, was a pillar of strength, an airman, a respected physician, a great father & friend, shall be missed by those lucky enough to know him. I personally shall always cherish the moments I shared with his beautiful family. I recall the 1st Passover Seder as I sat at his table & kept wondering, when is Elijah showing up? Is he late? I seriously looked for Elijah to show up the entire time. To this day, I will never forget the sweet smile on Dr. Arnold's face, as I kept watching the doorway.
I love you Dr. Arnold Schwartz, I will miss your gentle kind spirit my friend.
May you Rest In Peace & May G-d bless your family, the fruits of your loving soul.

At Passover, as the oldest cousin who was younger than his kids, I would (eventually) find the Afikomen, sometimes after an intervention was staged by one of the kids. Then, I'd bring it to him, and his kids would be cheering me on, yelling for me to ask for a car, or a hundred dollars. I didn't know what to say, so I'd say, "Five dollars each," for me and my sister. He'd always look at me, with his yarmulke that somehow stayed on his bald head, and say, "In my day, it was a dime." Then, I'd wait, and he'd get out a few dollars for us, which was a lot of money for little people who didn't work. I always remember that he loved us. And, it was convenient having a doctor in the family to sign a medical form in a pinch.

Nice man. Called on him in his NE Philly office for 8 years as a Stuart Pharmaceuticals rep. Always pleasant. One of my favorite calls. Those who knew him well will miss him greatly.
