LOFTUSGERALD J. "JERRY", on Feb. 25, 2016, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Kathleen A. (nee Kenny). Devoted father of Dawn (Joe) and Brian (Patti). Loving grandpop of Erin and Kaelyn; dear brother of Len, Ron, and the late Bob. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Tuesday 8 to 10:45 A.M. BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. (So. of Grant Ave.) followed by his Service 11 A.M. Int. private. The family prefers donations to Police Survivor's Benefit Fund Lodge #5, 11630 Caroline Rd., Phila., PA 19154 in his memory.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. The members of our CopNET family would like to thank Gerald J. Loftus for his dedication and service to the citizens of Philadelphia. The passing of Jerry will be broadcast to our 3,570 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Philadelphia's Finest who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. "Until we meet again, may God Hold you in the palm of his hand. " . . .

I was so surprised when I heard tonight that Jerry passed away. I quick checked on line for arrangements and saw that it was today. I am sorry we did not make it. He was a great neighbor and I have missed not seeing him around on DiMarco. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Loftus family at this difficult time.

I rode with you in the 23rd District on my very first day on the street. You would often come in to the FOP Cop Shoo to buy a shirt or just have a conversation about the police dept. Jerry may you rest in peace my friend. Prayers going out to you & your family.

I had the pleasure to work side by side sometimes when the sqauds over ~ lapped with Police Officer Jerry Loftus. I personally, will never forget his funny, but yet his dry sense of humor which made it even more hysterical ! God Bless You Jerry. One Day we will all meet again up in Heaven & *God Bless Us One & All* ! My Heart goes out to the entire Loftus Crew !
