Walter Becker Obituary
Before his illness he worked as a product support specialist for Rumsey Electric in New Castle DE. He was an avid fan of sports, gardening, and numerous do-it-yourself home projects. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by Tina Herrman Becker, his wife of more than 31 years; by his son, Jeffrey, and daughter-in-law Hilary of Carrboro NC; by his daughter Erin of Brighton MA; and by his sisters, Karol MacFadden of Malvern PA and Kathy Rowan of West Chester; as well as a niece and 3 nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service, 12 Noon, Friday, June 1, 2007, at DELLAVECCHIA, REILLY, SMITH & BOYD FUNERAL HOME INC., 410 N. Church St., West Chester PA (parking on premises), 610-696-1181, www.drsfh.com., where friends may call from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon at the Funeral Home. Interment Longwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution to either American Brain Tumor Assn or Tug McGraw Foundation (http://www.tugmcgraw.com).

We've known Jeff and Hilary Becker while they completed their studies (and Jeff worked with us at the Library) at UNC-CH. So we know how much of an anchor Jeff's Dad was to them. We send our deepest sympathies.

What a wonderful man, and what a great father in law for my daughter. I am so sorry that I could not get to know him over a longer time. He was happy in life, and I know his happiness has instilled itself in all who knew him in our daily lives.
