For Bettina’s husband, David and sons,
I’ve just learned of Bettina’s passing. What a wonderful and good soul she was. I’m saddened and sorry to hear of this. Please accept my condolences. I met Bettina at Shalem Institute in the late 80’s. We spent many hours over 12 days talking about our relationship with God, our families, life, life as art and always including some good laughs. Bettina suggested I use haiku as a way of simplifying my thoughts and writing. She was so helpful. Her heart is in you all forever and I’m sure her spirit continues to spill into everyday life through you. May you all be blessed as you continue to grieve your loss.
