I had the pleasure of knowing Thierry for seven years as his general dentist during our brief regular encounters. He epitomized to me the old adage "the taller a bamboo tree grows, the lower it bends." He was very accomplished in life and yet was very modest and unassuming. He was a very special person that had a certain glow about him. He is certainly reaping his reward in Heaven.

Some of the people we meet seem to be touched by a type of magic dust and spend much of their time spreading it to the world around them. These remarkable people make us feel braver. I have learned through and from Lucienne and her sisters about Thierry's remarkable life and what he was able to give and teach his daughters.
With lots of love to all of them, Sara

Thierry's energy and curious mind were an inspration to everyone who knew him. He will be missed by many. I, for one, have felt honored that I could be of service over the years to such a brilliant family.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, Tierney & family. I am also struck by how incredible it is for your father to have been doing what he loves right up until the end. What an inspirational adventurer! Love, Katie Kilburg

WOW! What a life and very well lived! I feel honored that Thierry came to little old Mattapoisett looking for a boat to buy for one of his adventures. While here he checked out my station wagon which turned out to be the perfect towing vehicle for one of his gliders. I first met Thierry 58 years ago and thou I saw him maybe 10 times since it was as if I had known him all my life. What a guy!-will try to add more stuff later but our thoughts and prayers are w the girls and whole Thys family. Vera Gibbons & family
