I just found out on Saturday about the passing of Mrs Codde and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. I moved from New York to California back in 1978 and became friends with Connie Codde. As I had no family in California Mr & Mrs Codde welcomed me to join in their Christmas Eve celebration. What could have been a very lonely time turned into a wonderful memory of being surrounded by a family who truly loved each other. The last time I saw Mrs Codde was at another family gathering at Sue's house on the 4th of July in 2008. The love and respect for family still shining through.
Thank you Mrs Codde for these fond memories and you will be missed.

Lorraine was always a wonderful and true freind to my parents Anthony and LaVerne Correa. They always enjoyed trips together. She also was a thoughtful and loving person to my husband and I. She never failed to send a birthday card and an anniversary card with a lovely note. We always enjoyed being able to visit when she came to our house or mom's. She was always a joy to be around. She will be missed.

Grandma was amazing. She was so kind to each and every one of us. I still remember her sneaking a jelly only sandwich to me one time even though my mom told me I had to have peanut butter too. I am so happy that my Audrey had a chance to meet her and spend some time with her before she died. I know that she is watching over us now and that she is happy to be with Grandpa again.

Lorraine was a woman not to truffle with, she had her opinions and stood by them. She was a very strong woman that we can all learn from. She loved her family and extended family, and I am incredibly thankful for her in my life. Every time we saw each other she would make me laugh and tell me stories of her children as they were growing up. And when we parted she would always hug me and say something nice about me making me feel good. I love you Lorraine and I will miss you...

Mom was a unique person in today's world-a stay at home mom. She made us breakfast and got us to school each morning and was there when we got home in the afternoon. She always helped us with our homework. She was always there if any of us needed her even as adults. If we cut ourselves she'd put the 'purple stuff' on it even though it dyed our skin purple for a long time. She was at every one of our baseball games including Dad's softball games. And you had to feel sorry for any umpire who made a bad call against any one of us. You didn't want her mad at you. She became a sports nut but it wasn't always that way. I remember how Dad told her that the red mark on Fred Biletnikoff's ankle was because the defenders were cutting him when he was tackled when really it was the stuff he put on his hands to help catch the ball. She got upset that Fred was being hurt but we had a big laugh about it. Mom became a Shark's fan. So much so as to have a stuffed Sharkie doll on top of her TV. She rarely missed a Shark's game that was televised. She really loved to play slots. It was fun for all of us taking her to Cache Creek over the past few years. She seemed to be having a good streak of luck, usually coming back ahead especially once when she had a big jackpot. We're all going to miss her but then she's really still with us in our hearts and minds. And we know that she's now with Dad again probably on a bowling team together. Love, Jerry

I will miss my Grandma very much. She was loving, caring, and very thoughtful of others. I will miss reading her kind words in the birthday cards she always remembered to send out every year. I know she is in a better place now where she is healthy and happy. I cherish the last time I got to spend time with her. I love you Grandma!

My Mom has been and always will be an inspiration to me. She worked so hard when we were little; we never did anything!! I always told her she did us a disservice by not teaching us how to do things. I sure didn't mind when we were younger, though. When Dad died it was like a piece of her died. She was always there for us, though. She always supported me in decisions I made, even though I think she didn't always agree with me. She was the best Grandma. She would sit at the kitchen table with my kids and draw pictures all day if they wanted to. The beautiful notes she wrote to them (in perfect penmanship even when arthritis took over her fingers) are treasured memories of Mom. I have kept every note she sent to them. She always had good advice!
At times when I accomplish something around the house (like fixing something that is broken) I say "My Mom would be so proud of me." I like doing things for myself; just like her. As a lot of you know I love to sing, so I have to quote a few of my favorite lines from a Josh Groban song. "Who can say for certain; maybe you're still here. I feel you all around me; your memory so clear." And my favorite (which I truly believe): "And I believe that angels breathe; and that love will live on and never leave."
Mom, rest in peace; you deserve it. I know you and Dad are watching us. Until we meet again......
Love, Connie

I am so thankful to have been lucky enough to have Lorraine as my grandmother. She had a way about her that would make you feel so loved and cherished. She was without a doubt the strongest woman I have known. I want to thank my parents, Uncle Dave, Aunt Connie, and especially my Aunt Sue and Uncle Rich for taking such good care of her during the last year. The love & devotion of all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren is a testimate to the wonderful person she was. I love you and miss you Grandma!

My great-grandma was a great woman. She was always there to tell me stories and how much she was proud of me. I will miss her very dearly because I loved her so very much. I'm just so happy that she gets to be with Great-Grandpa and the rest of her family. I will miss her! :)

Lorraine was not only sweet and kindhearted, she was also a wonderful cook. Without her, I would never have tried "chicken & dumplin's" and "Codde Fries". Her love for her family and sports has always been an example to me, and will always be remembered. I will miss her deep loud laugh! She was an amazing woman.

My grandma was thoughtful, caring, and so full of love. She was what every child hopes to have in a grandmother. I will miss her squeezing my hand and her tight hugs as we say hello and goodbye. I miss her now, but I am sure that she will brighten everyone else's day in heaven.
