With heavy hearts, we sadly announce that Audrey June Barnett has passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday, March 18, 2021, at Billings Court Manor in Burlington at the age of 81.
Daughter to both the late Olive Sinyard (nee Dixon) and Charles Sinyard. Beloved wife of 62 years to Larry Barnett and the most loving/caring mother to Craig (Andrea), Dana, Laura (Graham) Jay (Laura) along with her seven grandchildren, Jessica, Danny, Olivia, Braeden, Jace, Grace and Colton.
Mom lived a very full and happy life enjoying family and friends.
Mom was always there to comfort you and put a smile on your face, she lit up the room wherever she was.
She loved her music, favourably, Barbra Streisand. At a very young age we started listening to Barbra every weekend whether we were in the house cleaning or outside playing, mom always had her music on loud and singing to it, so we knew every song!
When we hear her music, it takes us back to a place in time where our hearts were full and there weren't any tears.
When residing in the LTC home we would watch Barbra's DVD's every day/night and even though mom couldn't remember much, she would still get up and clap her hands and dance to the music! It melted our hearts...
Mom loved the beach! We spent many memorable summers in Wasaga Beach with family. Whenever a boat would sail by, they would call out to us asking what time it is, mom's only response was ... It's Party Time!
Her words to live by and engrained in her children are; Live, Love and Laugh!
Mom will be forever loved, forever cherished and we will hold on to all the loving memories in our hearts forever.
