September 7, 1924 - May 25, 2020 Happy 96 Birthday in Paradise Our dad was an avid fisherman and gardener known as the Garlic King as well as for his 15' cherry tomatoes. A true athlete who won the Canadian Cross Country Run in 1944 and numerous Curling and Golfing Tournaments well into his 90's. His generous nature never let anyone leave without flowers, vegetables from his huge garden and a smile. He proudly canvased for March of Dimes for a record 61 yrs. Missed daily by his 5 athletic children, Richard, David, Leslie Shier, Barbara Langshaw, Marnie Crans, 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. After a Celebration of his Life he is resting peacefully at the cottage overlooking Garden Lake. Tributes to cremationalternatives.com
