I had the pleasure of having Abby in my play SECOND SPRING at the Showboat Dinner Theater in Clearwater, Florida. I remember meeting her with her son, Matthew, who was also featured in the play. Abby was not only talented but also very supportive of my work. My condolences to Matthew and family.

I first met Abby in Greeley Colorado (1975) during a tennis function. I was only 14. I was fortunate enough to play tennis with her and she was very nice introducing me to all of the celebs that were involved. She told me that I was a splitting image of her brother. Years later I reconnected with her in Boulder during another tennis event. She remembered me and we spent the better part of the day talking when she was not playing tennis. She was always so friendly to me even though we were not in contact often. An offer to come to California and stay with her and her husband (Jack) came and and I regret I was never able to take her up on such a generous offer. Again she said I looked so much like her bother but was never able to view a picture. Abby was so nice and treated me with incredible respect. For someone that famous to do this for a young kid and then an young man was very special and I will remember her always. I am thankful for the picture I was able to take of her and the second autograph from her years later. Thank you Abby for being the person you are!

Her portrayal of the troubled Julia Cumson on Falcon Crest was an outstanding performance. A very talented actress whose other work unfortunately I didn’t see living in the UK. RIP Abby Dalton.

We always loved her on the Joey Bishop Show...surely she was as sweet in real life as she was playing Ellie. Abby seemed to have fun on Match Game, as well in the 1970s.
