On Friday, April 9, 2021, as the result of Covid complications, we lost a great husband, father, Grampy, brother, uncle and friend at the age of 72 years. Richard was son of the late Lewis and Irene Cole. Rick leaves, as he always said, the "Love of his Life for 51 years" his wife Karen (Robinson) and his children Jennifer Cole (Sean Binkley), Steve (Emma), Kathi-Ann (Dan) Logan and his nine grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sister Linda (Ted) Horton, brother-in-law Tom (Joy) Robinson, several nieces, nephews and cousins and many good friends. The arrangements are being held privately for the family. From a young age, Rick's passion was baseball. To honour his life, those wishing are asked to make a memorial donation to the Perth & District Little League. Karen and family extend special thanks to the caring and compassionate ICU nurses and doctors at the Perth Hospital, the Brockville General Hospital and social worker Emily who gave us the opportunity to chat with Rick daily. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.

Karen
I am very sad to hear of Rick's passing. I played ball with him for quite a while and knew that Rick was a very thoughtful and caring person. My condolences and my prayers go out to you and your family.

I started working in 1981 for Ontario Hydro as it was then known, and one of the first people I met was Rick. Right from the start I liked him as he was a genuine person. What you got was the real deal. I learned a lot from Rick, as to him there were no stupid questions and I always tried to emulate that when I trained new people.
I can’t imagine how hard it is on his family to lose him. After the mothballing of Lennox we drifted apart for many years but I felt heartbroken when I heard of his death. Covid sucks and no one should have to die that way and hopefully this is the last time one of my friends will succumb to it.
To his family I want to offer my sincerest condolences. They, and everyone who knew him lost someone special.
