Dad Helm came back to Bishop/Aspendelle two weeks before he passed. Seeing the area, friends and his cabin again made him very happy. He may have moved to Fresno but his heart was still in the mountains. RIP Owen.

Our condolences to Owen's family. Owen was a great guy to work with. He was always upbeat, and represented Caltrans well in his dealings with the public. After he moved back to Fresno, Whenever he was in Bishop, he would pop into my office and give me a big hug, and brighten my day!

Owen will be missed.
