Egist E. Faccioli

Egist E. Faccioli Egist Edward Faccioli, 91, of Hilton Head Island, died on Friday, October 26, 2018, surrounded by beloved family. He was born April 25, 1927, in South Nyack, NY, the son of the late Alfredo J. and Maria Faccioli. Eg served in the Navy Air Corp at the end of World War II, then attended Swarthmore College where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY for 38 years until his retirement in 1988. Eg married Joan Bloor on July 8, 1961 and was married to her for 56 years until her death in 2017. Eg and Joan moved to Hilton Head Island in 1989. Eg was an avid landscape gardener and boater, and deeply loved his two rescue dogs, Marni and Marty. Eg was active in the Hilton Head Power Squadron and the St. Francis by the Sea Church Choir. Eg is survived by his daughter Patricia and her husband Paul Magliano, of Suffern, NY; son Michael of Brooklyn, NY; daughter Mary Beth and her partner Lisa Constantino of Denver, CO; and two grandchildren, Christina and her husband Joe Sussman of Mahwah, NJ, and David of Orlando, FL. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Francis By the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, November 3rd at 10:00 a.m., followed by inurnment at the St. Francis Columbarium and a reception at The Cypress Club for family and friends.
