Douglas Aldrich Obituary

Douglas R. Aldrich Aldrich, Douglas R., of Webster Groves, MO died June 1, 2018. Doug resided on HH approximately 20 years before moving to Missouri in 2008. Doug was an avid tennis player, holding several national rankings in his earlier years and won letters at Northwestern University and the Naval Academy. He resigned his Naval Commission in 1948 and joined the construction industry. He also enjoyed golf and was a member of the HH Country Club and the Dolphin Head Golf Club as well as other clubs in Seattle, Chicago and Washington DC. He was also an active member of St. Lukes Episcopal Church while living at HH. Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey (Julie) of Washington, DC, Peter (Simonee) of Del Mar, CA, Andrew of Detroit, MI, Charles of Fargo, ND; daughters Nancy of Chicago, IL and Patricia (Joe) Aldrich Grossmann; his special love Barbara Field (HH resident for 12 years) and her daughter Pamela Field. Graveside services will be held in his hometown of Galesburg, IL on June 23, 2018 at 11 am. www.boppchapel.com
