Pastor Tommy Lee Simpson Pastor Tommy Lee Simpson, 70, husband of Lillie Major Simpson, of Yemassee, SC died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 5-7pm at Anderson Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11AM at Praise Assembly of God. Pastor Simpson was born on August 9, 1947 in Douglas, GA. He is the son of the late Willie H. Simpson and Willie Mae Smith Simpson. The late Tommy Lee Simpson was the Pastor of New Birth Ministries in Yemassee, SC and truly a man after God's own heart. He was a loving husband and father, and genuinely had love for everyone. At a young age, he was anointed with a spiritual gift of music, and as he became older had the opportunity to play all over the United States. His hobbies included fishing, landscaping, painting and helping his wife with her art projects. He was a truly amazing and talented individual who was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Surviving in addition to his wife, Lillie; are one son, Antwon Simpson; three daughters, Ava Torman, Tomi Washington and Fayth Polite; six brothers and five sisters; nine grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Fontuala Burns. The family will accept flowers or In Tommy's memory suggest that donations be made to his church, New Birth Ministries in Yemassee, SC. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
