Michael Boone Pearson Michael Boone Pearson, 70, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Michael was buried at Beaufort National Cemetary, Sept 24 at 11:00. She will be just across the street from the Airborne monument she designed that was dedicated in May. A memorial service was held Saturday, September 22 at Sea Island Presbyterian Church, 81Ladys Island Drive, Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please make a donation to the wonderful people a the local Medical Services of America (MSA) Hospice, 59 Riverwalk Blvd, Suite C, Ridgeland, SC 29936. They provided such compassion and care for her in the last days. Donations are used to build ramps for the handicapped locally and to purchase equipment for those that cannot afford to do so. Michael was born August 1, 1948 in Baltimore Maryland. She studied at the Pan American Art Institute in New York City and is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburg. She married then Captain Robert Francis Pearson, on June 29, 1968. They spent the next 25 years traveling the world together during his military career. They celebrated 50 wonderful years together this June. She was a nationally known professional artist, and, is leaving behind an amazing legacy of beauty that will live on through her paintings all over the world. Her accolades are far too many to list, but those who encounter her work recognize her ability to see and recreate the amazing world around us. She was a beautiful inside and out and brought light to everyone she touched. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, nana and friend and will be truly missed by those who knew her. Michael was preceded in death by her parents, Charles William and Mary Katherine Boone Ekin. She is survived by her beloved husband LTC Robert F. Pearson, children Carrie Scarborough and Jennifer Pearson and grandchildren Ethan and Jake Scarborough and Dylan and Madeline Mentel.
