1947 - 2020

Saugus - Saugus, formerly of NY – Mrs. Mary Louise (Gawrys) Manning, age 73, died at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Saturday, December 12th. She was the beloved wife of Francis P. Manning, Jr. with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in North Tonawanda, NY and a resident of Saugus for 50 years, Mrs. Manning was the daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Klimas) Gawrys. She worked at Sears in jewelry sales for 13 years and was a member of the Sweet Adelaine's singing group for 12 years. She also was a church organist.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Manning leaves her three children, Francis P. Manning, III and his wife Melissa of Melrose, Kevin M. Manning and his wife Melissa of Windham, NH and Brandon J. Manning and his wife Rose of Woburn; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Emily, Allison, Lily, Thomas, Lily, and Zachary. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Sylvia and Sandra.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Relatives and friends are invited to attend an hour of visitation in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Tuesday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Adhering to the mandate of the state and CDC guidelines, face coverings and proper social distancing will be required.
