I use to love sitting down with Chuck when I was working at Lord Charley's in Upland and talk about wine. He had such a wealth of information on everything wine. In the 20 years I knew him I admired his accomplishments and successes and as an industry legend. After leaving the C&C corporation I went on to manage many well known concepts such as Chart House, Cheesecake Factory and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. And whether it be other managers or guests dining at said restaurant's I would always come across people who had stories of either working for or just a memorable experience they had of the Cask N Cleaver, Lord Charley's or El Gato Gordo. I use to tell him he should write a book about the history and experience of it all because I don't think he realized how much of an impact he had made here in Southern California. I miss him, and miss our talks. RIP Chuck

Chuck was a legend, I first met Him in 1972 and spoke with him quite often while eating at his various restaurants. We crossed paths often and he always had kind and friendly words. I consider him a friend. Myself and family will miss seeing and chatting with him while visiting the Cask.
RIP Chuck !!!!
