David L. Taylor Obituary
Our family lost a treasure when Dave passed away at home after a lengthy illness. He was born in Canonsburg, PA., the youngest child of Carl Clark and Inez Vera Taylor. In 1952 the Taylor family moved to Ontario, into the home where he lived for more than 60 years. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Dick Taylor. Dave is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rose Marie; his son David (Cindy) Taylor; his daughter Jackie (Dennis) Smith; his granddaughters Amber (Jason) Gray; Taylor Smith; his grandsons Jim (Kylie) Taylor; Casey Smith; and his great grandchildren Hailey Gray and Jameson Taylor.

He graduated from Chaffey High School in 1956 and attended Chaffey College. Dave served 8 years in the National Guard 40th Armored Medical Battalion from Ontario. He worked for Aerospace, Kaiser Steel and in 2000, retired from California Steel Industries. He loved to travel and travel he did! He was a whiz at Jeopardy and often had the highest score. He was an avid fan of Western Movies and knew all the old cowboys by name, even the guy in the last row of the posse! One of his passions was golfing and although a “hole in one” shot eluded him, he still enjoyed playing with the Hacker’s group in Apple Valley. Dave was famous for his outstanding wit and ability to make people laugh!

He was thankful for the Kaiser Physicians and staff who managed his myriad of health challenges over the years.
