It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and dear friend.Eula was born in Spadra, California on April 6. She attended Pomona High School and Pomona Junior College. In 1943 she married William Maloney, then a Captain in the United States Air Force. together they had an amazing life, traveling the world and raising four daughters. We all treasure the many memories gathered over those many years. When William retired in 1970
Eula began her 17 year career with the Los Angeles County Fair, ultimately retiring as Operations Manager. Eula continued working with the Fair Association as a consultant as well as the Director of Communications for the Orange Show.
Eula was committed to community service and served on many local Boards including United Way, Camp Fire Girls, Cable Airport Association, Women's International Bowling Congress, Retired Officers Association Auxiliary, Red Hill Country Club, Friends of the Fair and the Military Officers Association of America.
Eula remained very active her entire life, whether traveling to visit her children, grandchildren and great grand children all across the country for special events or holidays or out on the town with her many friends attending lunches, dinners, parties or entertainment events. She was always on the go and ready for a new adventure.
Eula was preceeded in death by her parents, Oscar and Zeda Glidewell, her sister Alma Glidewell and her husband of 64 years William R. Maloney. She is survived by her daughters Cathleen (Marcel), Karen (Jim), Elizabeth and Debi(Dean), 7 grand children and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am, April 6, 2013 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Claremont. Eula will be laid to rest in a family ceremony beside William in Riverside National Cemetery.
