My sincere condolences to the Ponce family in their loss. I have fond memories of Ronnie that go back when we were youths playing Rialto all-star baseball where I first met Ronnie. It was not until we both joined the military in 1970 and spent time in basic training and then technical school at Chanute AFB. We then spent several years in the Air Force reserve at Norton AFB, before I went active, where we shared many laughs and lots of fun. He always would make it so much fun being together and with others. He was the life of the party. I recently tried to hook up with him since I have been gone for many years and now being back in the local area and was able to see and hug him at Richie boys services but was successful in seeing him at Richie boys celebration of life/reception (went to the wrong hall). I will miss him and regret that I was not able to fully reconnect with him but have fond memories of our times together. Rest in peace, brother. (Ron Guillen, 703-851-2701)
