Brinisa Nicole Rodriguez, 24, of El Centro, CA, passed away on April 11, 2025. She was born on April 2, 2001.
Brinisa graduated from Southwest High School in 2019. She was involved in the SHS SAVAPA dance program. After high school she began her career in the restaurant/bar industry and started her own business. Brinisa will always be remembered for her radiant spirit, kindness, and the joy she brought into every room. She lived life with an open heart and a fearless sense of adventure that took her to parts of Central America and Thailand. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her vibrant energy, compassion, and unforgettable smile will leave a lasting imprint on all who were lucky enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Marcelina and Diego Sanchez; grandfather, Felipe Corvera; stepgrandfather, Gary Phillips; uncles, Salvador Guzman, Michael Steven Molina, and Marcos Rodriguez; and cousin, Gilbert Robles Jr.
She is survived by her mother, Denisa Phillips; stepfather, Kenneth Phillips; father, German Rodriguez; grandmothers, Carmen Carboni, Esther Madrigal, and Sue Phillips; sisters, Brianna Seaman, Jianna Brielle Phillips and Arianna Rodriguez; brother-in-law, Steven Seaman; brothers, Braden Phillips and Alexis Rodriguez; aunts, Liliana Quiroz and Mayra Carboni; uncles, Jose Quiroz; nephew, Jacob Seaman; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will be held on May 4, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Frye Chapel in Brawley, CA. Services will commence on May 5, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Frye Chapel in Brawley, CA. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA.

Hello, my name is Nathan Bejarano, Brinisa was my English 12 Grade class partner for the whole year. We got along, we got to know each other, we laughed, we helped each other on the school work, tests, questions. I have really good memory so when we would always have our weekly roots tests, I really didn´t mind showing Brinsa my answers, it was no big deal, I wanted to. We would finish the test really early and just talk and chill and chat away and kill time, and out of nowhere every now and then she would surprise me and bring me Starbucks frappachino for her and I, and she would bring the venti sizes, we would talk about everything and anything, gossip ,laugh, play iPhone games, help each with homework, tests, etc, next thing we know the bell rang and we would have to leave, and knowing we would do it all again tomorrow lol :). Brinisa was friendly, kind, sweet, down to earth. I never knew if she was going through something, I could never see it, I would only see the fruits of the spirit in her, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. I know I´m not a relative, or someone really close to her, but I considered her my friend. I may not be a chapter in her book, but I know there´s a small section of the whole interactions we had from beginning to end. May god bless and may she rest in peace. Never forgotten always remembered.
