Ismael "Mayelo" Larios, 74, of Holtville, CA passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, due to kidney failure. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dionisio and Guadalupe Larios; sons, Ismael Jr. and Alfredo and many siblings. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia and his children, Vikki Carr (Michael), Hector Larios (Erica), Gloria Larios and Oralia Larios (Jose Lopez); five grandchildren, Olivia, Elena, Lucia, Xavier and Noah; his two remaining siblings Socorro Torres and Mario Larios of Holtville; and his beloved dog, Jojo of 12 years. We lost a very special person in our lives, it hurts to say goodbye, but we know he is with the Lord and no longer in pain. Thank you Lord for blessing us with our earthly father. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Alidad Zadeh and staff, UCSD (Hillcrest) Medical Center who extended his life in late 2019, Fresnius Dialysis of El Centro where he went for over 6 years and he treated that place as one of his social clubs, AccentCare (Rosina), and AccentCare Hospice. Services will be held on March 10th at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro for viewing and rosary from 9 to 11 a.m. St. Joseph Catholic Church mass in Holtville at 11:30 a.m., interment at Terrace Park (Holtville) after mass.
