SHARON "SHANNY" JORENE NEFF
April 3, 1945- June 21, 2006
Sharon Jorene Neff, 61, affectionately referred to as "Shanny", of Brawley went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 21, 2006. She died of cancer in her home surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born April 3, 1945 in Brawley. She married Donald H. Neff on February 15, 1986 and she is the mother of 7 children. Sharon was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 30 years. She was a member of Brawley Assembly of God Church. Sharon worked for her family's business, Sewell Oil Co. from 1980 until it was sold. Most recently she worked for Tres Amigos Tree Service and Ben Davis Harvesting. Sharon's greatest gifts were her love for others and her crocheting.
Memorial Services will be held at Brawley Assembly of God Church, officiated by Pastor Michael Lasky on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 commencing at 10 a.m.
Reception will be held at the American Legion Hall at 509 G. Street in Brawley immediately following the services.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Clave Jo Sewell; son, Raymond L. Payne and step-son, Donald H. Neff, Jr.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Donald H. Neff of Brawley; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mark Chastain of Brawley; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Danese Payne of Evansville; daughter and son-in-law, Francille and Ron Herr of Visalia; daughter, Dorothy Santana of Visalia; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Paulette Payne of El Cajon; son and daughter-in-law, Tod and Jackie Payne of Evansville; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Jerry LaBine; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
