Dennis Patrick Schneider went home to be with our "Lord" on October 15, 2016, in Holtville, California at the age of 57 years old. Dennis was known for his adventurous, humorous and witty personality. He loved spending time in the desert driving his jeep, hunting, fishing and spending time with his mother. Dennis was the owner of eight dachshunds of which he loved. Dennis was born in Calexico, California on March 17, 1959 to Clifford and Effie Schneider. He graduated from Holtville High School in 1977. Dennis was a heavy equipment mechanic at Braden Machinery, and later he worked for the the City of Holtville, East Mesa Geothermal and Imperial Valley College as a maintenance ground keeper. Dennis is survived by his mother, Effie Schneider-Ligons of El Centro; daughter, Kristy Davin of El Centro; sisters, Debbie Burquist (John) of El Centro, Sharon Menvielle (Ralph) of El Centro, Shela Nunn of Arkansas; brother, Clifford Schneider (Jarene) of Holtville; aunt, Alicia Graf of El Centro and granddaughter Zooey Aguirre of El Centro; cousins, aunts, uncles and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Schneider Jr.; stepfather, Vern Ligons; grandmothers, Velma Graf and Violet Schneider. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at Turning Point Ministries Church, 450 Cedar Ave., Holtville on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Turning Point Men's Home of Holtville. Dennis was loved by so many and he will be greatly missed. Romans 10: 9-10.
