Alamo - Gerald Wayne Knox was born September 29, 1944 and went to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, May 12, 2018. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday May 16, 2018 from 10:00 am until the service time. The funeral service will be Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Ronk Funeral Home in Alamo, TN. Committal service will follow at 11:30 am at Alamo Cemetery with Stephen Sutton officiating.

Gerald was loved by many; was a wonderful father, loving husband, friend to many, and true gentleman. Gerald grew up in Alamo, TN, where he spent his entire life. He was a retired businessman that owned and operated Knox Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Gerald was an avid fisherman and gardener throughout his life, but had especially enjoyed his hobbies over the last few years after his retirement.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Knox (1998), Lura Knox (2011), a sister Margie Crouch (2017), and his wife of 45 years, Shiela Knox (2009). Gerald is survived by two sons, Jeff Knox (Tammy), and Jim Knox (Beth); one brother Farrow Knox (Alamo, TN); special friend Sylvia Hardin Kessler, grandchildren, Trey Knox, Jamie Knox, Katie Knox, and Jake Knox, great granddaughter, Leslie Knox.

Pallbearers for the service will be: Randy Tims, Pete Maher, Larry Whitten, Larry Knox, Dave Randall, and Trey Knox. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Brian Smith, Jake Knox, Jackie Mosier, Max Collins, Jim Lucas, Jimmy Nolen, and Don Thompson.
