Mr. Gene Brantley Ditty, Sr.
Mr. Gene Brantley Ditty, Sr. of Bascom, FL passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Hillview Assisted living facility in Graceville. He was 92.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Lovedale Baptist Church, 6595 Lovedale Rd., Bascom, FL 32423 with Rev. Steve Canada officiating.
Mr. Ditty was born February 22, 1929 in Bascom, FL to the late Winston and Malvie Ditty. Brantley was an educator and retired from the Jackson County School System after 22 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Walking and Racking Horse Association for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, his son, Gene Brantley Ditty, Jr.; sister, Neil Land; and a brother, Morris Ditty all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Sondra Grantham (Charles); son, Brian Ditty; stepson, Jeff Ganus; grandson, Daniel Grantham (Deanna); great grandchildren: Austin Grantham and Abbey Grantham; sister-in-law, Jimmie Ditty; brother-in-law, Mervin Land; nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
