Glenn A. Brown, 85
DELPHI - Glenn A. Brown, 85, of Delphi died 6:07 pm Sunday, March 24, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Delphi where he had been a resident for almost 2 years. He was born February 25, 1928 in Walton, Indiana to Orville and Edith Gushwa Brown. He was a graduate of Delphi High School. His first marriage was to Sue Starkey. On February 22, 1985, he then married Mary Shaffer Clawson, who survives. He was a lifetime farmer, on the family farm that was originally acquired in 1852. He was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Carroll County Pork Producers, a past director of Farm Bureau, and was inducted into the Carroll County "Agriculture" Hall of Fame in 2001.
Surviving besides his wife are 4 sons - Rick Brown, (Connie) Delphi; Doug Brown (Rita) Zionsville; Greg Brown (Regina) Zionsville; Ron Brown (Tammy) Springport; 1 stepdaughter - Anita Force (Mike) Delphi; 3 stepsons - Eric Clawson (Debra) Chalmers; Pat Clawson (Connie) Delphi; Jay Clawson (Sharon) Monticello; 2 sisters - Pauline Carbaugh, Logansport and Evelyn Calvert (Bill) Forest. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; 9 stepgrandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 stepgreat-grandchildren. Preceding in death were 1 twin brother Lynn and brother-in-law, Howard Carbaugh.
Visitation will be Thursday 11 am till the funeral at 1 pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor Todd Ladd officiating. Burial will be at Zion Citizen's Cemetery, rural Bringhurst.
