Joyce Aline Purcell,75
Joyce Aline Purcell,75. died peacefully at 6:00 AM on Saturday at St Elizabeth Hospital East due to complications from a lengthy illness. She was born November 9, 1937 in Boonville IN to Walter G. and Annie G. Purcell. After graduating from Boonville High School in 1955, she moved to Chicago, IL where she built a career with General Dynamics before retirement. She then became a long-time loving care giver to both parents preceding their deaths.
Surviving Joyce is one sister, Sandra Robbins-Henderson (Jerry), the three children she raised, one niece, Tari Robbins, one nephew, John "Man" Robbins (Carol), and sister-in-law, Alicia Howard (Lynn), two great-nieces, Natalie Stevens (Ricky), and Joyanne Jones, three great-nephews, Andrew Qualkinbush, Tyler Robbins, and Walter Jones, two great-great-nephews, Kellen and Anthony Stevens, and one best friend, Mary Toomey, all of Lafayette, IN.
Visitations are Saturday, May 11, 2013, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mason Brothers Funeral Home, Evansville, IN. Private services and burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery.

I went to high school with Joyce. She was very intelligent. It does not surprise me that she worked at General Dynamics. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
