We are all saddened for the loss of this wonderful giant; The Lord had blessed him with a heart of gold, the gift of cooking, music, laughter, card player, and with a smile that put you at ease. He would always tell you a funny joke now and then. But he always had words of encouragement if you had a trouble heart and with of course the big bear hug to make you feel all will be better. He had the gift of gap and would tell you all about his travels with Sandy, his children and his grandchildren whom he dearly loved.
My prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

I will miss Little Jimmy Furr... I liked him very much and his family was very nice as well. I'm so very very sorry for your loss and am shocked. I worked at Chemistry some years ago and we stayed friends. And his daughter worked for me as well. Peace to you and your family - I'll be thinking of you.

Jim was like a fixture in the Chemistry Department, but more than that, he was a dear friend. I can't imagine him being gone, and I'm sad beyond words. He was truly one of the good guys in life!
