David Earl Brown

David Earl Brown 64 of Deltona Florida passed away on Friday February 21, 2014. Formerly of Lafayette IN. Born March 1, 1949 in Terre Haute IN. graduated from Garfield High School. He served his country in Vietnam 1969-1971. After Vietnam, David worked for Lafayette Water works, Cadle Trucking Company, Lafayette Police Dept. for a short time and Tippecanoe County Sheriff Department 4/2/79-8/14/88. In 1988 he moved to FL for warmer weather and worked for the Central Florida Post office. David dedicated himself to serve with the Florida VFW Honor Guard, District Commander of Central FL, Wounded Warriors, American Legion Post 11, and Boy Scouts & Commander of the VFW for 6 years with the last trip to Washington D.C to the dedication of the WW 2 Memorial in 2004. He considered it an honor to serve his fellow veterans.

Survived by Wife, Sharon MacCracken Brown Deltona FL, Daughters, Amy Engels (Brad) Zionsville IN, and Christine Stamm (Danny) Lizton IN; Brothers, Lloyd P. Brown (Susan) Leesburg FL, Robert L. Brown (Rose) Buckeye AZ, Sisters; Julia Hoskins Leesburg FL, Betty Dexter (Steve) Lafayette IN. 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren Many Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death Parents, Clarence and Maxine Brown Terre Haute; Sister Sue Johnson TX and Brother, Max Brown Leesburg FL.

Memorial services March 16, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 at the American Legion Post 11, 1801 South 9th. Family request donations made to American Legion and Wounded Warriors program. Envelops will be available.
