Gloria "Diann" Reynolds

Gloria "Diann" Reynolds

Gloria "Diann" Reynolds, 66 of Brookston died at 8:50 am, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette after battling cancer for 17 years.

She was born on August 9, 1947 in Lafayette to the late Ralph Edward and Gladys Fern (Zarse) Minniear and was a 1965 graduate of Chalmers High School, Chalmers. On March 25, 1967 Diann married the love of her life, Robert "Bruce" Reynolds at the Reynolds Christian Church in Reynolds and he survives.

Mrs. Reynolds worked as a Dental Assistant and as a clerk for National Homes Acceptance Corporation. She was a proud mother and chose to be a stay at home mom while her children were growing up before returning to work as an Assistant Clerk at the Brookston Town Hall. Diann was a member of the Brookston Federated Church for over thirty years and a member of the Over 20 Home Ec Club. She also belonged to Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority.

Diann loved to sing and take pictures. As technology advanced so did Diann's cameras. She also enjoyed camping and learning about her family history and geneology. As the loving wife that she was, Diann "put up" with Bruce's hunting and fishing and accepted it as a way of life. An adoring grandma, Diann cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and attended their sporting events and even kept stats! She was very patriotic and was looking forward to her son's upcoming retirement from the United States Army. Diann was always "full of life".

She is survived by her children, Lisa Diann Zarse (husband: Randy) of Chalmers, Robert Anthony "Tony" Reynolds (wife: Wendi) of Clarksville, TN, Amanda Joy Martinez (husband: Jesse) of Rockwood, MI; 3 brothers, Michael Edward "Mike" Minniear (wife: Glenna) of Goodland, Lynn Robert Minniear (wife: Patti) of Delphi, Mark Douglas Minniear (wife: Candy) of Reynolds; 2 aunts, Artis "Arty" Spencer of Monticello, Beulah Honn of Brook; 7 grandchildren, Ethan, Jordan, Tayler Diann, Brittney, Aurora, Jaden, and Alex; and her mother-in-law, Helen Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph Edward and Gladys Fern (Zarse) Minniear and her father-in-law, Robert "Jack" Reynolds.

Friends may call from 3 pm - 8 pm (EST), Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home Brookston. Funeral Service will be at 10 am (EST) Thursday, March 20, 2014 with Rev. Dr. Lelan D.
