Jack Eugene Easterbrook

May 23, 1932-July 22, 2012

On July 22, 2012 Jack passed away and is now at peace with God. Jack leaves behind his wife of 49 years Joan Harrison Easterbrook as well as his children Tom (Selsy), Mark (Cary), Matt, and Erin Easterbrook Boyd (Stephen).

Jack was born in 1932 at Rock Island Illinois to Russell and Elizabeth Easterbrook. His youth was spent on a farm growing tomatoes and during WWII raising rabbits for butchers while beef was rationed. In time the family moved to Lafayette Indiana and Jack attended Lafayette Jeff High School. After High school Jack attended Purdue University and attained his degree in Electrical Engineering. War was on in Korea soon after and Jack was in the Army, attached to the Red Stone arsenal in Alabama. Soon after his duty was served Jack started his 40 years of service to DELCO electronics as a regional service representative eventually becoming a sales executive in Santa Barbara (Goleta). This position led him to Sothern California where he met and married Joan Harrison. Soon after the family moved to world headquarters in Kokomo Indiana. Four years later DELCO Santa Barbara was growing and a mass of Midwesterners were relocated from Milwaukee and Indiana to Goleta. There Jack became involved in anything and everything. Knights of Columbus, SB and Goleta chamber of commerce, YFL football, Bishop Diego Dad's club, SB county Grand Jury, and most dearly Rotary Club. Jack received the esteemed Paul Harris Fellowship in spring 2012.

Jack Easterbrook was a great Dad, a great Husband, and a great Grandfather. His void in our lives and those He has touched will never be filled. Besides his wife and children Jack leaves behind Brothers Bill, Don and his sister Ruth Anne as well as Betty Lou Easterbrook. . Additionally are grandchildren Stephen, Corrine, Anne, Timothy, Anthony, Catherine, James, Robert, and Kaitlin Easterbrooks. "Papa Jack" loves them all very much!

Jack enjoyed people more than activities; wherever the people were Jack wanted to be. He enjoyed bowling and golf and vacations to Yosemite National park with friends and family. Services for Jack will be held as follows: Rosary Thursday July 26, 7pm (viewing 6pm) St Mark's Catholic Church 6550 Picasso Rd, Goleta CA 93117, Funeral Mass10am Friday July 27 at St. Raphael's 5444 Hollister Ave. Santa Barbara, CA 93111. Reception at Mulligan's Café Santa Barbara Golf Club 3500 McCaw Ave. Santa Barbara, CA 93105. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rotary Club of Goleta.
